In Shahberi, Greater Noida Authority teams sealed nine shops that had come up without permission. The structures were built on land where commercial activity isn’t allowed. Officials reached the spot with police staff and shut the premises after checking records and site details.
On the same day, another team cleared encroachment from government land in Amarpur. Roughly 5000 square metres was freed. Officers said the plot is worth around ₹10 crore. They plan to fence it so that nobody occupies it again.
Similar drives have already taken place in places like Kheda Choganpur, Bhanota, Haibatpur, Chipiyana Khurd and Rohillapur. In those operations combined, more than 54000 square metres of land were reclaimed. Some earlier actions also included sealing flats built without approval and starting cases against people behind such projects.
Authority officials said complaints about unauthorised construction keep coming in, especially from fast-developing areas. They said checks will continue and warned buyers to verify land papers before purchasing property. If a structure is illegal, it can be sealed or removed later, they said. For now, teams are continuing inspections across different sectors and villages as part of the ongoing drive.
