The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has decided not to extend the deadline for its one-time settlement scheme. Around 7200 plot allottees who have pending dues will face recovery proceedings if they fail pay by 28 February. The decision was taken at the authority’s 88th board meeting, chaired by its chairperson and additional chief secretary (industrial development). Officials said the scheme had already been offered seven times in the past and the current window, which opened on 1 December was to be the final chance for defaulters. Against total outstanding dues of nearly ₹4950cr, only 117 allottees have applied so far, which the board considered far below expectations.
Members were also updated on the state government’s rehabilitation policy for stalled housing projects. Of the 11 developers covered under it, nine have deposited 25% of their net dues of about ₹402 Cr - a step expected to help restart projects linked to nearly 6800 homebuyers.
Board reviewed progress on planning, like the proposed Raya Heritage City and master plans for Agra Urban City and approved public objections to draft layouts. Numbers presented at the meeting showed capital receipts rising from about ₹2200cr to nearly ₹2700cr in a year, while revenue expenditure increased from roughly ₹2300cr to about ₹5500cr. Officials said that after February deadline, recovery action against defaulters will begin from March 2026.
